Guest Post/Giveaway: Blind to Men by Chris Lange

Blind To Men
Chris Lange

The day has come for Anya to reclaim her life. Protected by an Amazon, she must go to legendary Palance, the city of her dreams. She has to leave her home without even knowing she was cursed at birth. She is blind to men. She can’t see them, and they can’t see her. Except one.

It's a real pleasure being with you today. Thank you Liz for inviting me.

The story behind BLIND TO MEN: I was shopping at the store one morning, trying to grab a tin of green beans when a weird thought struck me: what would it be like to wake up in a world without men? Yes I know, I got scared too J but it gave me the thread that eventually became BLIND TO MEN.

My novella is centered on Anya, a farm girl who has been cursed at birth. So she can't see men, and she has no idea they even exist. As a result, she's naïve, sincere, spontaneous, sometimes ignorant of basic facts of life.

When the Queen of Palance requests Anya's presence at court, the young farm girl must leave her mother as well as her life to follow her new protector, a strange Amazon who's definitely the ugliest woman Anya has ever seen. Together they'll hit the road to Palance. Their relationship will evolve as Anya comes to realize there's more to her guardian than meets the eye. And I won't say more…

Fantasy stories always get me, so I can assure you I had great fun writing BLIND TO MEN. I do hope you'll enjoy reading it. In the meantime, good luck to you all!

I would like to thank you so much for this amazing book giveaway, that i would really love to have the oportunity of reading! What a brilliant question. i would probably cry out in pain for the one i loved, as not being able to see them nor them see me would honestly be heartbreaking - and i think many people would feel this too. Having sight is such an important sense, as it really does impact our lives.
    Thank you x

  7. Great answer Audra!! Cracked myself, told my husband your answer!! Mind you, I'd have to agree!! Lol!!

My closest friends are men, so i'd have no-one to crack jokes with. Sometimes my girlfriends don't share my sense of humour. But I would survive!!

  8. I have been married for exactly 14 days. If I woke up tomorrow and couldn't see my husband, there might be a little bit of panic.

  9. I feel as though men cannot see me right now, so there may not be too much of a difference - I would miss getting to see them though.

I think it would be neat if I knew they were around, but couldn't see them. But then again, only for a little bit.
