Guest Post/Giveaway: Melissa Schroeder, author of A Little Harmless Fantasy

A Little Harmless Fantasy
(Harmless #8)
Melissa Schroeder

What starts out as simple fantasy among friends, becomes an overwhelming need that none of them can deny.

Maura Dillon has always been someone who lived life on her own terms. From the time she in college she knew she had different needs than most of her friends. But she never thought she would find herself torn between two very sexy men, or that they would want to add her to their relationship.

Zeke and Rory have known each other for years. Their casual relationship has spanned a decade, but now that they are living together things are on a whole other level. Add in their mutual attraction for Maura and things are just getting out of hand.

Rory understands their desires and suggests a week in Hawaii. No rules, no limits, no regrets. But as their nights are filled with unimaginable erotic pleasure, there is someone lurking in the shadows. Someone who wants revenge, and will stop at nothing to succeed.

*** Guest Post ***

Hi, everyone! I want to thank Liz here at Fictional Candy for letting me stop by to talk about my latest Harmless release, A Little Harmless Fantasy.  If you don’t know me, my name is Melissa Schroeder and I write from historical to futuristic and in heat levels from sensual to erotic. I am best known for my erotic Harmless series set mainly in Hawaii.

A Little Harmless Fantasy is the 8th book in the regular series and I always get excited about jumping back in. There are two things I love about writing the Harmless series. The first is that I get to return to Hawaii, even if it is in my head. I think sometimes you can forget how beautiful a place is if you aren’t reminded. For people who have never been to Hawaii or lived there like I did for three years, you sort of get used to that beauty. You expect it every day. Even the more questionable parts of Honolulu are pretty IMHO. Okay, some of the back alleys aren’t, but you know what I mean. We go back regularly now. Still, it is nice to recall those memories, from our time living there and our visits back. Especially when it is cold outside and I can pretend I am on a beach in Hawaii.

The second thing I love about writing the Harmless books is one thing my Addicts always say they love: getting to visit old friends. Many of the Harmless characters make appearances, especially Micah Ross and Evan Chambers. It’s like getting to visit with old friends I haven’t seen in awhile and catch up on all the gossip. Quite a few of them are moving on with their lives having babies, starting new careers…and my Addicts love to catch up with them.

I hope you take a moment to check out the latest in the series, book 8, A Little Harmless Fantasy.

If you want to get a teaser of the book, you can download Prelude to a Fantasy for free just about everywhere! It tells of the night that Maura and Zeke first get together several years ago.

Make sure to get Mel’s two Harmless Bundles now only .99 a piece through Feb 14th! That is FIVE BOOKS for 1.98!

  3. What I love about long running series' is that we learn back story and get more HEA's. I always love finding out what happens after the HEA!

  4. I am the same way! I love seeing them move on with their lives. In Harmless, I especially love how all the guys see themselves as experts on women and offer advice, lololol

  5. I love the relationship I develop with the characters! Each book allows me to open the door and pick up where I left off!

  6. I love the books and especially that its a long series where many characters are intertwined within the series. It allows for my to get caught up in the lives of each. When I finish reading one of the books, I feel as though I have finished watching a movie or catching up with old friends. It's awesome the way Melissa creates an atmosphere of belonging within her storyline.

  7. I love long series because I can revisit characters that I loved in their first book. Real life doesn't end at the end of a book.

  8. I love a long series because you can meet new characters and watch old ones progress further in their development.

  9. I like to know what past people are doing, in a series, you get to know what the people from the first book are up to, if they have kids and so forth. I love series, but I like to read them in order, sometimes you come across a book and don't find out it is a series right away, then you have to go back and re read. LOL. I love the Harmless series and the military series. Thanks Melissa!

  10. I love knowing that I can't really figure out the ending. It can all change in the next book if the author does it right, and they usually do.

  11. My favorite thing is being able to really delve into the plot and characters knowing they will be with me for a while. I tend to get really involved and if it is really good, I hate for it to end and it sticks with me.

  12. My favorite thing about a long series is that it gives me lots of books to read. If it's within the same series it's usually going to be the same quality (with Melissa's books I can always guarantee that) and I love knowing that I can automatically purchase the book (and love it) without looking for reviews.

  15. I love to see what happens to the characters that I fell in love with and meet new ones. I've gotten to the point where I only read series anymore, I hate when a good book ends and I have no idea what happens to the characters.

  16. I like seeing characters reappear in other books and how they intertwine with each other. Adds more to the story.

  36. being able to revisit characters that I love and the world they live in. Also being able to see how characters change and grow

  37. I love long series. You can have a story arc that tells a complex tale with more books, you can revisit past characters and catch up witn what has done on with them since their stories in previous installments of the series, and you will always have a book release to look forward to with those epic sized series. It's harsh on the bank account buying all the books but so worth it when snowed in during a winter storm or a relaxing weekend reading marathon.

  41. Longer series allows me to get more invested in the story and characters. Usually with most long series the stories and characters have ample time to become fully developed!

    ReplyDelete
  42. My favorite thing about long series is getting to know and follow up with the characters that you don't get to do with stand alone books. It is what makes me a series junky!
