Nobody Asked Me/Giveaway: Just A Giveaway!

Well, here we are, another week of my new feature "Nobody Asked Me!".  I have to say, I'm kind of liking it, it's been a lot of fun for me.  But at the same time every week it sparks fear in me because I never have a subject to talk about until last minute.  It really makes me wonder how other bloggers do this.  Like, for instance, Book Whore Blog.  Danielle over there runs a weekly feature called Let's Talk
Danielle consistently comes up with entertaining topics that really speak to the reader.  How in the hell does she do it? Seriously - how?!?!

I don't know.

As a matter of fact, in my notebook I have a completely different topic starred for what to talk about this week.  And here I am, not talking about it!

(thinking...)

I don't know.  How about this?  I don't have anything! So I am just going to do a giveaway. Lame, I know.

Oh snap!!!  I have an idea!!!  My idea is for you to give me ideas! LOL. :)

Giveaway is INTERNATIONAL.  Ends 4-17-13.  Winner has 48 hours to respond to notification or a new winner will be chosen.

  1. Lol...I'm as creatively stymied as you are...lol...you could have a "favorites" post - have us list our favorite book we've read that week or that month? Perhaps a favorite things to eat/drink while we read - favorite book trailers (if we've seen any that are good) or maybe a favorite childhood book we still read today (if we want to admit to it..lol). We could also have a "Things We Love to Hate" about books post - posting books that have themes we just can't seem to break ourselves of even though they frustrate us to death....lol

  6. Pfew. Yeah I don't think I could come up with one a week. I have a hard time coming up with one new recipe a week for Tasty Delights. I've been doing the Randomly Random posts...randomly. I would totally stress myself out doing a weekly one. And see I can't even think of any topics to suggest. lol

  8. lol some week's it's rough. I nearly missed this week because I'd basically made instant mashed potatoes for like 4 days. Would have been a real exciting post ;) But gah thinking up the posts is hard some weeks. I'll go to work on it and have a completely blank mind. Pinterest usually helps with that though. What about scanning on there. Maybe a topic will jump out at ya?

I spend many hours on Pinterest, on the mobile app. I'm most happy when shirtless, sweaty men jump out at me there lol. If I could cook one of them in my kitchen, I'd do it every night!

It's kind of like "even if you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice" That's how deep I am. I'm like yoda.

You know, one word always gets me to go "iiiick" and that's the word "turgid" But in the romantical context, it is usually a good thing. Maybe I should write a whole post about "turgid"....

The bad thing is, I have a whole notebook page FULL of ideas. But when I was looking at them, they all looked the exact same to me. Blogger Block.

  19. I would not be a good blogger at all because I can't come up with things to talk about that would get other people involved on the discussion! Lol
Maybe you could get people's input for which book has the hottest kisses or which books have sex scenes that will make your kindle melt because they're so hot.
You have a hard job, I wouldn't want to have to come up with ideas. That's why I will leave it up to you pro's that blog and I will just keep reading them! :-)

  20. I am not good at these things but I will try to come up with a few of ideas.
    1. How about what your first erotic romance was (if you read them) or if not what would interest you in trying them.
    2. Pet peeves either in stories or when you are reading.
    3. Favorite places to read, snacks while reading.
    4. If you read electronic books, why did you choose your ereader out of all the different ones out there.
    5. Ebook prices, how much is too much, what do you think is a fair price based on length, or vs. print books, etc.

You know, Christy, no one believes me that there is a dirty hobo under the house... or it could be a serial killer. OR a serial killer hobo. It could really go either way. And you all are jealous of my snacks, I'm sure. And guilty pleasure books.... those are all of them that are having more fun than I am!!

I read this comment yesterday from my cell phone, and since then I've been trying to think of some off the top of my head that didn't involve any romance. It's definitely not easy to do!!

  32. How about a favorite page. Something that is special to you or something you enjoy doing and would like to see others do more of.

  33. Hi Liz - I am also from Detroit, Farmington Hills to be exact, and although downtown Detroit is a disaster area, there are certainly a lot of good things here for people to hear about. I would like you to talk about how to write a good review, points that should or should not be mentioned, how long, etc. I read on one blog how to leave a comment, which was very helpful.

Hi Bonnie!! Nice to meet you! :) I actually live in Chesterfield, so I'm quite a hike from you lol. Heck, sometimes I wonder if I actually know how to write a good review!
    Do you have a blog?

  38. I suck at it too! and I have a very picky four year old, a lot of my cooking is reduced to the foods I can get her to eat without too much of an argument. But if you want to see some pretty neat foodie posts, you should check out Herding Cats and Burning Soup. Anna has some great recipes, and some funny stories to go with some of them! http://herdingcats-burningsoup.blogspot.com/
