She's an investment banker.
He's an outlaw biker.
A little bit of heaven is about to meet a whole lot of hell.

Morgan Powell was raised to be perfect, to set an example for her sisters to follow. Her life has been dedicated to making something of her career, so she wouldn’t know what to do with a man even if you gave her an instruction manual.

Brett 'Ice' Grady spends his days trying to keep up with his teenage daughter, his nights consumed in Regulators’ MC business. He has no time for anything more than a casual hookup.

Two worlds collide when the dangers of his life crash into the calm of hers.

Can she go beyond her own boundaries and chip her way through to the man known to be as cold as ice?

Loosely attached to Chelsea Camaron's Hellions series and Jessie Lane's Ex Ops series.

This week I read Ice by Chelsea Camaron and Jessie Lane - two authors I've read before and loved separately.  The question in my mind was "Would they work well together?"  The answer is definitely yes.  Ice was an exciting read, and I definitely feel this collaboration worked well for them.

Ice is a biker in the Regulators.  But they aren't just bikers, they are also a kind of undercover group.  Right now their current project is to find out what is happening to a bunch of missing women.  The stakes are raised when Mady turns up missing.  More on that in a moment.  As for Ice... honestly, it took me a while to warm up to him.  He is kind of bristley and cold.  Ice definitely suits him. He's a single dad and a widow, his focus is on his daughter, Brooke.  For that, I loved him.  But when he was dealing with our heroine, Morgan, I wanted him to be a bit more aggressive and warm.  He finally did catch up to what I wanted from him, but it took a minute.

Morgan is our heroine, and she's definitely interesting.  She's spent her life being the "good girl" trying to live up to her parents' expectations and make them happy.  That in itself is quite a feat, because her parents turn out to be exceptional assholes who don't even deserve the title.  OMG, those people!!  They have 3 daughters, but they definitely don't deserve a single one.  So when middle child, Mady, gets kicked out and stays with Morgan, I'm happy for them both.  I love that Morgan was a strong woman with a tight sibling bond, and was able to take in her teen sister.  And when Morgan stands up to her parents, I definitely sent out a fist pump to her.

Ice and Morgan together... whew.  It's rought to start.  There are definite sparks between them, but they're not always good.  But that's how you know it's going to turn out hot.  See, Mady and Brooke are besties in school, which forces Morgan and Ice into each others' worlds, and neither one seems too happy about it.  But when Mady is missing, Ice steps up to the plate and is really there for Morgan.

There's a lot going on in this book, aside from the budding attraction. There is cartel action and what is looking like sexual slavery.  There are character appearances from previous series of both authors, which is completely awesome.  The supporting characters in the Regulators are so awesome, too.  The guys are so complex and interesting.  Coal is the one I am most interested in, there is definitely a story there.  He's got a very dark past, but we don't know what it is yet.  Hammer's book is next, and I can't wait to see how that turns out.  Either way, they are all very endearing, and it wasn't long before I found myself caring for all of them.  Camaron and Lane did a terrific job with this book, and I am definitely staying on for the rest of the series.

Jessie Lane is the best selling author of The Star Series, Big Bad Bite Series and the Ex Ops Series.

She lives in Kentucky with her two little Rock Chicks in the making and her over protective alpha husband. She has a passionate love for reading and writing naughty romance, cliff hanging suspense, and out-of-this-world characters that demand your attention, or threaten to slap you around until you do pay attention to them.

Jessie writes Adult Paranormal and Contemporary Romance & Upper YA Fantasy/Paranormal Romance.

Chelsea Camaron was born and raised in Coastal North Carolina. She currently resides in Southern Louisiana with her husband and two children but her heart is always Carolina day dreaming.
Chelsea always wanted to be a writer, but like most of us, let fear of the unknown grab a hold of her dream; she realized that if she was going to tell her daughter to go for her dreams, that it was time to follow her own advice.
Chelsea grew up turning wrenches alongside her father, and from that grew her love for old muscle cars and Harley Davidson motorcycles, which just so happened to inspired her ‘Daddy’s Girls’ series. Her love for reading has sparked a new love for writing and she currently has a few more projects in the works.
When she is not spending her days writing you can find her playing with her kids, attending car shows, going on motorcycle rides on the back of her husband’s Harley, snuggling down with her new favorite book or watching any movie that Vin Diesel might happen to be in.
She hates being serious and is still a big kid at heart. She is a small town country girl enjoying life and, Chelsea hopes that her readers remember not to take life too seriously and to embrace your inner five year old, because five year olds know how to enjoy the simple things in life and how to always have fun.
