Thia is prim and proper.
Bear is leather and lawless.
It will never work between them.
It's a lie they almost believe...
It is necessary to first read King and Tyrant to fully enjoy Lawless.
Ok, first - let's all take a moment to admire this cover. Go on, look. Get an eyefull for a couple minutes. I can't blame you, I've done the same thing over and over. Oh my...
This series is fucking amazing. I've fallen in so much love with the characters. I love how Preppy is featured so prominently, because that motherfucker deserves it. I love King and Ray/Doe/Pup. And now I love Bear (ok, I loved Bear before) and Thia.
The blurb calls Thia prim and proper. I don't know if I agree with that. I think she is young and inexperienced. Maybe even a bit naive. I wouldn't call her prim. However, this book throws her into such a freaking tailspin, it's unbelievable. I love the backdrop of her childhood home. The rotting orange grove feels so real. I can feel the heat and smell the rotten oranges. It's perfect. Beautiful and a disaster all at once.
As for Bear. That poor man. Not that I'd ever say that to his face. Hell no. But he has been through so damned much the last year, and yet he is still standing. Sure, at the beginning of this book he is in a permanent coke haze. But you do what you gotta, and after all he has been through, I can't say I blame him. By the end of this book, you get to see so many sides to this man. He's amazing.
TM Frazier brings the danger. She brings it so real and raw and fierce. I can't get enough. Everything is so right there and in your face. It's gritty. Extreme. If you haven't started this series, you just have to. I'm telling you. Each new character is such a blast to the senses, you won't regret it.
She attended Florida Gulf Coast University where she specialized in public speaking. After years working in real estate and new home construction, she decided it was finally time to stop pushing her dreams to the back burner and pursue writing seriously.
In the third grade she wrote her very first story about a lost hamster. It earned rave reviews from both her teacher and her parents.
It only took her twenty years to start the next one.
It will not be about hamsters.
