“I was the demon-possessed monster and she was the innocent, naïve angel. But none of that matters. She asks, I give and right now, I'll kill anyone who tries to stop me from giving this woman what she wants—me.”
Dirk lives in the shadows—performing hits, maintaining order, and upholding the no-holds-barred legacy of the Sinner’s Creed Motorcycle Club. A nomad with a restless spirit and a cold heart, the open road is his world. One of the few constants in his life: his desire for the one woman who has consumed his thoughts for years.
Saylor Samson grew up far from the harshness of Dirk’s world. But ever since she was seventeen she’s been drawn to this dark and mysterious man who always seemed to show up just when she needed him.
After years of fated encounters, he’s back. This time he’s taking her. This time she’s ready for the ride. But just when the darkness in Dirk’s life begins to fade, Saylor reveals a secret that puts them both to the ultimate test. Now, Dirk has to make a decision: submit to his destiny with the MC, or choose his own.
I was warned this book would have the feels, and holy cow, it did. Sinner's Creed is definitely a story worth reading, especially if you are a fan of motorcycle club romances (like me!)
At first when I began this book I felt like it was more tell than show. But as the story went on, all from the hero's point of view, I realized that it was told in the fashion of which he spoke and thought. Short and to the point. He's a man who doesn't use a lot of words to express himself. He's a nomad for Sinner's Creed motorcycle club. His name is Dirk, and he goes through a world of transformation in this book. He's a brutal man, and it takes a soft but strong woman like Saylor to bring this change out in him.
Saylor and Dirk meet several times by chance, and never leave each other's thoughts. Somehow fate keeps throwing them together until the one day they both decide to listen. That day turns into a whirlwind of emotion, danger, and drama.
Saylor is... well, she's hard to describe. She's a free spirit that is fully rooted in reality. She is a breath of fresh air, and when you're around her you can't help but be happy too. I really like the air of positivty she brings to the storyline, and even to Dirk himself.
I'm not going to go too much into the storyline for the sake of spoilers. But this book is definitely worth the time invested to read it. And yes, there were all kinds of emotions all over the place. I can honestly say this book put me through all of them, and there even might have been a tear or two. Both characters change so much, their romance is a rollercoaster of a ride. And Jones really does a great job painting the motorcycle club world of Sinner's Creed, and some of the members of the club. I am absolutely waiting on pins and needles for book two, but I don't know how it could be better than this gem!
